it's strange how life hands you little twists when you least expect it. it's been said before, but i shall mull over it again. perhaps if you don't want, don't need, and don't expect... it closes off the possibility of disappointment, but it leaves the door of surprise open. and wouldn't that be a better thing? a world without disappointments, only pleasant surprises around the bend.
...but on the other hand, if you never expected, never wanted, never needed.. doesn't that reduce your existence to one that's aimless?
today i worked up the courage to quit my job, after toying with the idea for a very long time. i had a plan to talk to the boss after i finished my shift. and wouldn't you know it - of all days (i can only think of one other time she left the office in the 7 months i've been there) she went out today and didn't return before the end of my shift. i guess that means that i have to quit on monday.
time to pursue better things :)
thank you for the call. sometimes you may not realise it, but the smallest gestures help me to go to sleep with a warm feeling in my heart and a smile on my face.. so thank you.
